I don't fully share your assessment. The border invasion has stopped and deportations have risen to a point that riots are breaking out in Chicago, Portland, and Charlotte. James Comey went from being untouchable to now indicted. We had no idea how much USAID was being used to fund gay race communism both at home and abroad, and that's totally shut down.
All that said, as far as your critiques on snakes in Trump 1.0, this is exactly why I and others wanted a competitive primary in 2024 instead of a coronation. Even if Trump inevitably won, he'd be forced to outline exactly what would be different from Trump 1.0 and there would be a measure of accountability. But NOOOOO every right wing grifter just declared the primary to be "over" before a single ballot was cast.
10M illegals who need to be deported is a very conservative estimate. Assuming it’s closer to 20M, deporting only 600K in his first year is reprehensible given his campaign promises. Remigration numbers are probably half that.
Given he’s defending H-1Bs and letting 600K Chinese students attend colleges here, while spending all his time globetrotting because he wants to be liked by everyone — it’s clear he’s either retarded or isn’t focused.
His administration should, at the least, remind him of what he ran on. But they’re petrified of him and they’re only in it for the clout.
Trump’s way too distracted because he cares more about his legacy as a global leader than the American president who finally destroyed the left. He exceeded expectations in the beginning but the current direction is disappointing.
I get that on the deportation numbers. That said, 600,000 is larger than the entire US active duty military. It's a logistical feat to deploy paid professional troops in quantities much smaller than that, and even more so to deport a larger number of uncooperative illegals who are sometimes in jurisdictions that actively do not cooperate with the Feds.
My statement is not "trust the plan" bullshit but just a sober statement that we could have anyone as POTUS whether it's Trump, DeSantis, or Augusto Pinochet and we'd still need simply more ICE agents/US Marshals to actually execute
The new training classes should start hitting the field early next year. If things aren't ramping notably by then, then I'll chimp out
One of your absolute best, Med. Great, effectively communicated article.
