What Does It Mean To Be Right Wing?
It certainly means more than worshiping Trump
I am officially disillusioned.
I’m not the first person to stop Trusting Le Plan. Many former Plan Trusters became Democrats or started urging Republicans to vote for Democrats out of spite. That’s retarded and completely against my best interests.
But I’ve been thinking about those interests. I’ve been asking myself which principles would force me to vote for one party over another.
I’ve witnessed the meaning of “left wing” and “right wing” flip several times. When I was a kid, I thought of Republicans as religious PTA moms who wanted to slap a Parental Advisory sticker on every CD that contained a curse word. Now it’s mostly Democrats who advocate for censorship.
The left used to be generally pacifist and the right more hawkish. Now both sides will support foreign wars depending on whether or not Trump supports it.
If the definition of a concept is fluid, then it means nothing. It doesn’t make sense to claim you’re right wing if the meaning of “right wing” can completely reverse in just a few years.
You could define right wing as “not left wing.” However, if the right elects someone to weaken the left, but he doesn’t, and the right continues to blindly support him anyway — then this definition means nothing.
For many Democrats, being left wing means opposing the orange and racist pedophile, Donald Trump, even when he’s acting in my best interests.
For many Republicans, being right wing means worshipping my Lord and Savior, Donald Trump, even when he’s acting against my best interests.
That isn’t right wing. That’s being a cheerleader, a propagandist, and a slave.
