People like a nice, round number. 100. It’s a satisfying number. Two 0’s. Even. It’s a number people like to juxtapose meaning onto, but it doesn’t mean anything. Using numbers as milestones is one of those silly yet lindy things people like to do. Like birthdays.
Today, April 30th, is Trump’s 100th day in office. But the media acted as if it was yesterday. Why? I don’t know. These people are stupid.
Time is relative. Time feels longer in politics and even longer on the internet. COVID was 5 years ago, but it feels like 30 years ago.
292 days ago, someone tried to kill Donald Trump. You do remember that Trump got shot, right?
Somehow this feels longer ago than COVID.
193 days ago, Trump worked at McDonalds. 20 years ago in Internet Years.
Do you remember Tim Walz? Kamala Harris? “Harry Sisson”? We had to see a lot of weird faggots all at once. You should be able to sue people for being so cringe. In Internet Years, these people might as well be dead.
Political Time
Trump’s last day in office will be January 19th, 2029. That’s 1,361 days from now. We’re only 6% into it. Trump’s second term will feel like many decades. Time doesn’t fly by in American politics.
Trump II started off with a bang. His inauguration speech was incredible. He told Biden, Kamala, and Obama to fuck themselves while they were sitting right behind him in polite company. Very Trump. Illegals were being arrested during the speech. The markets were exploding. Everyone was watching. For a Trump Enjoyer like me, the vibes were 10/10.
The vibes aren’t 10/10 right now. Tariffs. Russia. Judges. The “Maryland Man.” El Salvador. Israel. Signal. Harvard. Elon.
There’s a lot going on. Trump is doing a lot of things. There’s very significant changes underway. He has extremely competent people around him compared to his first term. He’s actually acting on many of his campaign promises.
There’s a lot of new things happening too. I don’t remember Trump talking about the Houthis on the campaign trail. What a goofy ass name. “Hoothies.” ISIS did it better. Clown ass terrorists. I don’t remember Trump talking about anti-semitism either.
If you’re like me, you voted for what Trump campaigned on. I voted for a transformational Presidency. I voted for millions of peasants to be rounded up and deported. I voted for the enemies of American life, aging and underfucked white women — to be wailing in the streets. I voted for the antibodies of cleanliness to push back very hard. For the most part, I’m getting what I voted for.
The vibes of a transformational presidency, cannot, by definition, be 10/10 every day for 4 years straight. Significant, lasting change in America cannot happen within 100 days. This post isn’t going to list all of his campaign promises and give you the status of each. There’s plenty of those already. AI can do that for you in 2 minutes.
This isn’t going to be a Trusting The Plan Cope post either. I love Donald Trump. If you love someone, you can see their strengths and weaknesses equally clearly. I’m going to give my assessment of Trump’s second term thus far from the perspective of someone with high but realistic expectations.
