The Millennial Curse: Caring Too Much About Politics
Everything's fine. It's okay to stop and smell the roses.
Yesterday I took stimulants too late in the day, so I was wide awake until 3am. Wired. I found myself watching Tucker Carlson talk about Douglas Murray with Matt Walsh on YouTube. They were talking about the “woke right” and how people should feel about Israel.
“Why am I watching this? What am I getting out of this? Who fucking cares?”
This made me realize how tuned into politics I am, regardless of if it makes sense to. “Why am I still doing this?”
I cared about politics the most when I was locked indoors against my will while blacks were allowed to burn down cities and steal sneakers over a dead fentanyl addict. I cared about politics when Twitter banned my account and didn’t give me a reason. I cared about politics when a cringe retard named Kamala Harris almost became President of the United States. There was a lot at stake. It made sense to care about politics then.
But now — why should I care? Trump won.
Ukraine? Don’t care. Palestine? Don’t care. Tariffs? It’ll be fine. Immigrants? The border’s closed. Sure, I want more of them to be sent back faster and I trust they eventually will. But things are heading in the right direction. It isn’t perfect, but compared to where things were — everything’s fine.

The right didn’t “win” forever, but the horror world from 2020 isn’t coming back for at least another 4 years. It’s okay to stop and smell the roses.
Last night it hit me — I’ve become so accustomed to caring about politics, regardless of if it’s warranted. Since 9/11, everything in America has become about fucking politics. Part of American culture is caring too much about things you can’t do anything about. It’s a sickness. Millennials most affected.
